About Aghaman

Aghaman makes menswear in Turkey, for men who want their clothes to say less and last longer.

We started from a simple observation. From Istanbul to Bukhara, from Cairo to Kuala Lumpur, men have dressed for centuries by the same quiet rules: a low collar that stands on its own, a front that wraps rather than buttons, a narrow band along the edge, one small stone where a closure needs to be. These are not costumes. They are solutions, for wind, for movement, for dignity, that the East arrived at long before fashion did. Aghaman brings them into clothes you can wear on any street in the world without anyone asking where you are going.

What we make is familiar: a field jacket, a wrap jacket, an overcoat, a pair of pleated trousers. What makes it ours is restraint. The cut is easy, the cloth is honest, and there is usually one detail that carries the whole idea,  a band that runs the length of the coat, a lining you see only when you turn a cuff, a single lapis stone at the throat.

Everything is made in Turkey. Our jackets and coats are cut and sewn in Istanbul ateliers; our cloths come from mills in Bursa and the Aegean; our leather is tanned in Istanbul's five-hundred-year-old leather districts. We chose to produce at home because the craft is here, and because we can walk into the workshop and hold the garment before you do.

We don't do logos, and we don't do seasons for their own sake. A coat should be worn for ten winters. When it needs care, bring it back.
